Thank God for Mosquitoes!

Goodness Gracious there's an abundance of mosquitoes right now! Did they all come over from Louisiana? They're HUGE!

My horses are welted up, I'm bathing in Cutter and they're getting me through my jeans! What in the world...but, yes, thank God for them.

Corrie Ten Boom wrote about her sister Betsie saying, "Thank God for the fleas." in her book The Hiding Place. Corrie thought Betsie had lost her ever-lovin' mind. What sane person would ever be thankful for fleas? Betsie was thankful for everything and told Corrie to be also.

Come to find out, those fleas kept the German Guard out of their dorm! So, Corrie was thankful for those fleas too.

I guess if I had to think of a reason to be thankful for the mosquitoes...I'd say I'm thankful for them because they get me off my keister. It's hard to linger on the porch when you're getting eaten up by those pesky critters.
