There It Is Again-A New Day

I have a song in my head almost 24/7. Almost every night I wake up with a song in my head even. Appropriately today, “A New Day” is repeating and bouncing around in my brain.

Apparently it’s not just a new day, it’s a new week and a new month! Typically for me that means change the air conditioner filters...but this time it means change the filters, clean behind the appliances and retire a pair of jeans.

Ya just never know what a new day will bring anymore. Gone are the days of expectancy! No longer is there a need for a to-do list and who even plans out what’s gonna happen in sequence anymore?

I was just tellin’ Sticks this very truth the other day. As I went in her stall to visit, I said “...and after that I’m gonna...oops, nope, I’m not gonna say I’m gonna do anything ‘cause we both know how that keeps turnin’ out for me.” She nodded.

Well, at any rate, I’m marching on with a gleeful heart. Listing out the things I’m grateful for helps. 1: a good vacuum

2: more than one pair of jeans

Honestly though, it’s freakishly hot, dry as a bone and there doesn’t seem to be relief coming soon, but it is September finally, and surely things will turn around soon.

*Addendum* Number 1: air-conditioning

Revelation 21:5 “Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write; for these words are true and faithful.

Yes Sir!

Was this scripture picked just for me? Today it was. Today is a new day. What I choose to do with it is up to me. I’ve got the freedom and the ability to make it a great day. Even if it doesn’t end like I’d like it to, I know I’ll be okay.

If I keep reading through the rest of chapter 21...well, let’s just say I’m grateful for where I am, who I am and what I am.

There won’t be any air-conditioning in Hell.

**Revelation 22: 20-21

Amen
