What Do You Have To Lose?
Have you ever been so scared that you had wracking sobs come over you? The kind of crying that saps all the energy from your being accompanied with the "ugly" crying face, snot bubbles and inaudible sounds coming from your soul?...I don't know where they actually come from, your mouth I guess. It seems that they seep out from your pores and maybe scream out of the tears that rampage from your ducts. I'm fighting to convey that helpless bawling that leaves you in a pile of goo balled up on the floor. Ever done that? Ever-never?
I have
When words fail, the heart can speak volumes. Let it out! He knows anyway, but admitting those pent up feelings is freeing and sometimes they come out as liquid on the cheeks. Psalms 141
I am a sobber of a different kind today. So many times I've been slammed into a heart pouring of gratitude! Oh yeah, the whole shabang: big tears, snot, blubbering, falling to the knees. My God hears my cries. He listens to my heart and He answers prayers-Big Time. I think He gets a big kick in seeing me lose it; having a loss for words on His account has to be satisfying.
How blessed am I to have THE Father on my side. My Jesus died FOR ME! He did! It's true and so real and so very humbling. And He answers my prayers in ways that I couldn't even think up.
On this day, He not only answered my prayer, He iced it, chopped up nuts, WALNUTS not peanuts, placed them carefully on top with lots of whipped cream and added two cherries-just because. He answered my little prayer in a huge way just because He loves me and just because I asked.
So yeah, I cry. I'm admitting it. It isn't a weakness-it's a gift. It's called JOY! And it comes from MY Heavenly Father. I can sing and dance, and cry real tears because He gives me so much joy.
But there are other times I can smash my fist into my forehead and cry the same way but with opposite feelings, when I try to understand why someone wouldn't trust Him like I do. Whatdoyahavetolose? Seriously, what-do-you-have-to-lose? Are you afraid of what you'll give up? Oh, but if you only knew what you'd gain.
Have you asked Him today? Just ask Him into your heart. Admit you are a sinner and believe Jesus died on that cross and was risen three days later to wait for you to spend eternity with Him. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..." Romans 10: 11 "For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
After all, He died for you too! Let Him in your life today. Whatdoyouhavetolose?
